  1. Just a quick reference.
  2. These prices are monthly, unless otherwise noted.
  3. Verizon Fiber (fios) home internet has three tiers.
  4. $40, $60, $80 (gigabit).
  5. This is internet only. They will not require purchase of phone or television.
  6. There is a $15 charge for a router. You can provide your own and skip this.
  7. There is a $100 one time service charge for setup.
  8. Home requires that you have a 'home' (which means you have a kitchen and bathroom onsite).
  9. I guess if you own a residential building, and have a downstairs shop, you can save dosh by using
  10. home internet for everything. maybe.
  11. You cannot get a static ip via home.
  12. This is pricing for no contract, and month to month payments. Contracts aren't needed,
  13. because these companies print money. Do they really need contracts? They are doing
  14. ok.
  15. Business:
  16. business pricing:
  17. $80 base level. (200down/100up)
  18. Gigabit, I think $120
  19. Again, $15 for router, monthly.
  20. $50 one time setup fee, this time.
  21. Static IPs: Packs of 1,5, and 13.
  22. 1 static ip == +$20
  23. 5 static ips == +$40
  24. 13 static ips == +$60
  25. 5 Static ips, and base level internet: $120
  26. This is month to month pricing. No contract.
  27. There is a discount if you agree to a two year contract. A contract almost
  28. exclusively benefits the phone company. You get very little out of it, and
  29. run the risk of cancellation fees.
  30. Again, this is internet only. They do not require purchase of tv, or phone.
  31. If you are a new customer, they may give you a $10 discount for a couple months.
  32. On the other side: the local cable company: comcast, I can't quote exacts, but
  33. I know the following:
  34. Business Internet
  35. 35/5
  36. w/5 Static IPs
  37. $112
  38. cable tv
  39. $40 (I think this is right)
  40. As you can see, the pricing is comparable for internet. Verizon would be $120,
  41. for base level with internet. Slightly more money, but faster promised speeds.
